NFL free agents list: Andre Smith, Brent Grimes best available

USA TODAY Sports

Big names remain on the free agent market. Where will Andre Smith, Brent Grimes, Dwight Freeney and others land?

The initial wave of NFL free agency has come and gone and, although many of the biggest names are off the market, some impact players are still available.

The 2013 crop of free agents was loaded with starting right tackles and although several have signed long-term deals, Cincinnati's Andre Smith remains on the market. The Bengals continue to pursue Smith, but are yet to reach a deal. There was some talk that negotiations may pick up with right tackle Sebastian Vollmer coming off the market last week, but that doesn't appear to be the case. Cincinnati remains the favorite to sign Smith.

Smith is the best offensive lineman available, but he isn't the only potential starter. New York Jets guard Brandon Moore and Kansas City right tackle Eric Winston are also still on the market. Both have started 16 games in every season since 2007.

Former New York Giants running back Ahmad Bradshaw is the best skill player still on the market. Bradshaw is just 27 years old, but his extensive injury history could scare some teams off. Beanie Wells, Felix Jones, Michael Turner and Cedric Benson are other free agent running back options.

On the defensive side of the ball, Brent Grimes headlines a deep list of available cornerbacks. Grimes is coming off an Achilles' injury. He's drawn interest from a few teams but is yet to find a deal. Tampa Bay appears out of the running with Miami and Cleveland still options. In addition to Grimes, Antoine Winfield and Nnamdi Asomugha are other available options at cornerback.

Like cornerback, plenty of free agent defensive ends are available. Former Indianapolis Colt Dwight Freeney is the top pass rusher available. The 33-year-old Freeney visited the Denver Broncos and has also drawn interest from the Detroit Lions and Miami Dolphins, among other teams. Like Freeney, veteran defensive end John Abraham has also drawn interest from a few teams but is yet to land a deal. Even after signing multiple pass rushers this offseason, the Seattle Seahawks could still be interested in Abraham. And although maybe not the pass rusher Freeney and Abraham are, Chicago defensive end Israel Idonije also remains a free agent.

Other notable names on the market include Richard Seymour, James Harrison, Daryl Smith, Brandon Lloyd, Charles Woodson and Brian Urlacher.
