Undrafted wideout Duron Carter is following in his father's footsteps by signing with the Minnesota Vikings, according to Adam Schefter. Carter jumped around with several schools before preparing to enter the NFL.
The son of Hall of Fame wideout Cris Carter hasn't seen much playing time in college. He caught 13 passes with Ohio State his freshman year, but eventually left for academic reasons. He transferred to Alabama in 2011 and then moved on to Florida Atlantic in 2012, never playing a snap for either team.
NFL.com's Gil Brandt says Carter reminds him a lot of his dad. His skills were never the issue throughout college. Academic problems and concerns about his attitude followed him for years. He will at least have a shot in training camp now to prove himself. The Vikings aren't exactly loaded with talent at receiver.
