Carr is being brought in with the hopes of bolstering a secondary that was knocked around last year as part of the league's worst defense. The 30-year-old corner comes with experience, having played for the Tennessee Titans, Oakland Raiders and Baltimore Ravens, and last season, the San Diego Chargers.
Without question, Carr is going to have to make the team in training camp. The Saints already have Jabari Greer, Keenan Lewis and former first-round pick Patrick Robinson entrenched on the roster, so Carr would be making his bones in a sub-package.
New Orleans is coming off a very tough season in which head coach Sean Payton was suspended for the year due to the bounty scandal. The Saints missed the playoffs for the first time in four years, finishing 7-9 on the campaign.
