HBO will have to keep looking for its next participant on their annual peek inside an NFL training camp, Hard Knocks, after the Seattle Seahawks decided the coverage wasn't worth all the trouble, according to a report from Joe Fortenbaugh of the National Football Post on Thursday.
The program offers a window into the behind-the-scenes and on-field workings of a team preparing for an upcoming NFL season. It just won't be the Seahawks preparing for the 2013 season.
Seattle general manager John Schneider said this to the National Football Post in the report:
"We understand the interest in this show, but would not want to bring a ton of attention to ourselves."
HBO has yet to find a suitor for the eighth installment of their popular program. Last season, the Miami Dolphins agreed to be participants on the show, documenting plenty of the sort of memorable moments that make the program so popular with fans and scorned by a majority of the league.
Fortenbaugh also reports that new San Diego Chargers general manager Tom Telesco showed some level of interest but will probably not subject his team to the Hard Knocks treatment this season.
