Stallworth will reportedly get a shot with the team he played for in 2011.

The Washington Redskins have invited free agent wide receiver Donte Stallworth for a tryout in the team's minicamp next week, according to a tweet from's Albert Breer on Thursday.

Stallworth, who played in 11 games for the Redskins in 2011, was cleared for all football-related activities in May after injuries suffered from a hot air balloon accident temporarily put his football career in question. Now he's back to simply looking for a team to join.

Stallworth played in one game for the New England Patriots in 2012 before being placed on injured reserve with an ankle injury. He caught a 63-yard touchdown pass in that lone appearance against the Houston Texans in December.

Playing for Washington on a one-year deal in 2011, Stallworth caught 22 passes for 309 yards and two touchdowns. He was briefly released by the team in November before getting re-signed in the same month following injuries to other Redskins, including wideout Leonard Hankerson.

A 10-year NFL veteran, Stallworth has 321 career receptions, 4,837 receiving yards and 35 touchdown catches.
