NFL rumors: Donald Jones to visit Titans, Colts

Thomas B. Shea

Jones was signed to a three-year deal in free agency by the Patriots, but didn't even make it to training camp.

Free agent wide receiver Donald Jones is scheduled to visit with the Tennessee Titans on Tuesday and has a Wednesday workout scheduled with the Indianapolis Colts as well, according to Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports.

Jones, 25, was signed by the New England Patriots to a three-year deal worth $3.71 million earlier in the 2013 offseason, but didn't even make it to training camp with the team before he was released last week. Before joining the Patriots, Jones had spent the first three seasons of his career with the Buffalo Bills.

Originally signed as an undrafted free agent in 2010, Jones started 22 games with the Bills in three seasons, accumulating 82 receptions for 887 yards and six touchdowns. His 41 receptions for 443 yards in 2012 were a career-high.

If Jones signs with the Titans, it would be a reunion with Ryan Fitzpatrick, who he played with during his time in Buffalo; however, Jake Locker is expected to be the starter for the Titans in 2013.
