Von Miller returns to Broncos, expected to play vs. Seahawks

Chris Humphreys-USA TODAY Sports

Denver's star linebacker met with the NFLPA on Thursday and is ready to get into game action on Saturday.

Broncos All-Pro linebacker Von Miller is back with the team on Thursday and is expected to play on Saturday in Denver's preseason game against the Seattle Seahawks. Miller has been involved in a number of offseason incidents that have put him in danger of missing at least the first four games of the year. He also met with NFLPA lawyers on Thursday.

Miller, 24, was arrested on Sunday at a gun club after a background check revealed that Miller had an arrest warrant out for failing to appear in court on a traffic violation. The 2011 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year is also appealing a four-game suspension for failing a drug test. Sources have said that Miller's suspension was not due to any failed performance enhancing or recreational drug tests this year.

The second overall pick in 2011, Miller has immediately become one of the best defensive players in the league. He recorded a franchise-record 18.5 sacks in 2012.
