The Texans improved to 2-0 in the preseason as Matt Schaub, Case Keenum and T.J. Yates all tossed a touchdown to lead Houston to a 24-17 win over the Miami Dolphins.
Schaub struggled to start the game, throwing an interception in the first series and taking a sack on third down in the second series. The starter got the offense moving on the third series, finding a wide open Owen Daniels in the end zone for a 15-yard touchdown.
Ryan Tannehill turned in an impressive performance, throwing for 141 yards and a touchdown before being removed for Matt Moore in the second quarter. Tannehill tossed a nine-yard touchdown to Mike Wallace in the first, and led a second touchdown drive in the second that ended in a Lamar Miller four-yard touchdown run.
Keenum looked effective with the Texans No. 2 offense, completing 11 of 18 passes for 150 yards and a touchdown. T.J. Yates also had a strong performance, going 7-for-9 for 84 yards and a score.
Injury Report
Dolphins tight end Dustin Keller sustained what appeared to be a serious knee injury and had to be carted off the field. Texans first-round pick receiver DeAndre Hopkins was also injured, leaving the game in the second quarter with a head injury.
