Kevin Kolb injury: Bills QB trips before practice, heads to locker room

Mark Konezny-USA TODAY Sports

Perhaps the leader in the clubhouse for most ridiculous injury of all NFL camps, Mr. Kolb has been hurt by walking.

Buffalo Bills quarterback Kevin Kolb injured himself Saturday morning on the way to practice, tripping and requiring the attention of the training staff, according to Sal Capaccio.

The trainers attended to Kolb's left knee before escorting him back to the locker room.

Capaccio also tweets that Kolb was visibly bothered by the whole ordeal, perhaps making us believe he has more than simply a bruised ego. If the former Philadelphia Eagles and Arizona Cardinals quarterback is out for any period of time, it would be a major advantage for rookie first-round pick E.J. Manuel.

Manuel and Kolb have been fighting for the top spot in Buffalo and this could tip the scales. If that's indeed the case, Kolb might never get over his pratfall. It's one thing to lose your job in the NFL via injury, it's another to lose it by falling while walking.

Last season in Arizona, Kolb threw for 1,169 yards in six games.
