Jets vs. Patriots injury report: Rob Gronkowski and Danny Amendola are doubtful

Jim Rogash

The final injury reports for Thursday night's matchup between the Jets and the Patriots are out, and the Pats will likely be without their two most important pass catchers.

The New York Jets and the New England Patriots have released their injury reports for Thursday night's game at Gillette Stadium. Among the key names are a pair of the Patriots' most important pass catchers. Danny Amendola (groin) and Rob Gronkowski (back, forearm) are listed as doubtful and will likely sit Week 2. Of course, running back Shane Vereen's broken wrist will also keep him sidelined for several weeks. Gronkowski's absence is less of a surprise than Amendola's. According to's Albert Breer, Amendola may miss Week 3 as well.

As expected, Quinton Coples, Jeremy Kerley and Mark Sanchez have officially been ruled out for the Jets. The team is apparently healthy otherwise, however. Of the 21 players listed on the team's injury report, 18 are listed as probable, including Kellen Winslow and Santonio Holmes, both of whom were limited in practice this week.
