Kenny Britt wants more targets; could go either way as fantasy option

Don McPeak-USA TODAY Sports

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Kenny Britt says he wants more targets. We break down the fantasy implications.

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Kenny Britt wants more touches, according to John Glennon of The Tennessean. Britt only managed one catch for 15 yards in a win over the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 1. Following the matchup, he said that he still believes in himself, and that quarterback Jake Locker believes in him.

However, Britt did say that what matters most is getting the win, and that he wants the team to make it to the playoffs and the Super Bowl. But if Britt wants to get more targets, he'll need to clean up his mistakes. Offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains said that he wants Britt to cut down on mistakes, including the two penalties he committed in Week 1.

Fantasy Impact: Britt being unhappy would be a bad sign for fantasy owners. A wide receiver getting mad rarely translates to more targets and goodwill from the coaches and his quarterback. However, Britt seems more dedicated to rectifying the issues at hand than outright complaining about passes thrown his way, so it seems likely he'll clean up and get more targets as the season goes on. Britt could go either way in fantasy this year, but his ceiling for production is very high.
