Brown said he has a bad case of turf toe on his right big toe and he and the team will have to see how the toe responds to treatment during the week before determining if he'll play in Week 3.
"We have practice [Wednesday], Thursday and Friday," Brown said during a radio appearance on Sports Talk Live, via ESPN. "We'll just see, man. I really can't tell you how it's gonna work out. I'd love to be out there at Baltimore this weekend. But I really don't know right now."
Now in his sixth season with the Texans, the 28-year-old Brown has missed just four games during his career. The fact he was able to return to the game could be a positive sign, but turf toe injuries can be slow to heal. Brown will likely practice on a limited basis, if at all, during the week and be a game-time decision on Sunday.
If Brown is unable to play against the Ravens, Ryan Harris would step in for him at left tackle. Harris took over while trainers tended to Brown on Sunday. Harris does have some starting experience with 36 career starts, most of which came earlier in his career with the Denver Broncos.
