Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo is getting a shot in his ribs to dull the pain he has been feeling since Week 1, when he was injured against the New York Giants, according to the Dallas Morning News.
The Cowboys are coming off a loss and are returning home to face the St. Louis Rams on Sunday, and Romo is surely ready to go. Per David Moore's piece:
"I think tentatively we are planning on it just because of the nature of it and what we thought," Romo said. "But we’ll see as we get there.
"It does feel better now than it did last week. It’ll just keep getting better and better this week."
Romo played very well against the Kansas City Chiefs last week despite losing the contest. Romo threw for 298 yards and a touchdown, going to Dez Bryant early and often to the tune of 141 yards. However, he also took two tough shots to his bruised ribs by nose tackle Dontari Poe, a 340-pounder.
At 1-1, the Cowboys are tied with the Philadelphia Eagles for the NFC East lead, but currently own the tiebreaker.
