Steelers, Ben Roethlisberger getting smacked around, making Dan Rooney sad

Gregory Shamus

Who could blame Rooney for being disgusted with the product the Steelers have put on the field?

The Chicago Bears defense against the Pittsburgh Steelers offense has proven to be quite the mismatch, especially in the trenches.

Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has again not had much time to throw, and he has gone down hard in the process.

Exhibit A:

Discontent over Todd Haley's offensive game plan is growing by the game. Roethlisberger hasn't had much help all season long and will be lucky to make it through the season healthy.

If the early results are any indication, it could be a long year in Pittsburgh. The look on Dan Rooney's face really says it all.

The storied Steelers franchise has fallen on hard times. The fans echo Rooney's thoughts.
