Redskins vs. Raiders, NFL odds 2013: Winless Washington favored on the road

Brad Mills-USA TODAY Sports

The Washington Redskins are favored to best the Oakland Raiders on the road, despite being winless through three games.

The Washington Redskins and Oakland Raiders will face off in a Week 4 matchup. Washington figured to be in a much better place than the Raiders at this point in the season, but things haven't gone as planned. Robert Griffin III has been so-so, and the Redskins have lost all three of their games this season. They fell to the Philadelphia Eagles, Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions in the first three weeks.

Oakland, on the other hand, has managed a win, besting the lowly Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 2. The Raiders came very close to winning their Week 1 matchup with the Indianapolis Colts as well, but Andrew Luck managed a late touchdown to put them over. Most recently, the Raiders lost to the Denver Broncos in Week 3, and it wasn't close.

According to OddsShark, the Redskins are favored, despite having a worse record. They opened up as 2.5-point favorites, which is narrow, but they will be playing in Oakland. It's clear that the Redskins have a more talented roster, and despite the fact that home-field advantage is usually a noticeable swing in the lines, the Redskins still have the confidence of the oddsmakers.

The over/under for the matchup opened at 46 points. That total has gone over in four of Washington's last five games on the road and under in all five of Oakland's last five games at home.
