NFL odds 2013, Patriots vs. Falcons: Atlanta favored at home against New England

Mike Zarrilli

The Falcons are lightly favored at home against the 3-0 Patriots on Sunday night.

The Patriots will visit the Falcons in Week 4. While New England is among the few 3-0 teams in the league, it is not favored on its road trip to Atlanta. The Falcons, who are 1-2, are listed as 1-point favorites at home, according to Odds Shark.

The Patriots have yet to lose, despite the lack of talent surrounding quarterback Tom Brady. The three-time Super Bowl champion has been able to get the job done with a mediocre set of young wide receivers. The Patriots' defense has been stout this season, which has allowed for the offense to score fewer points. However, against Atlanta, the Patriots may have produce touchdowns in a higher quantity than in past weeks.

The Falcons are under-500 and are looking to get back to their winning ways in Week 4. The combination of quarterback Matt Ryan and wide receiver Julio Jones has been quite the connection this season, but they will need help from veterans like Roddy White and Tony Gonzalez on Sunday. The Atlanta defense is banged up but should be able to hold the Patriots' rookies in check.

The Falcons will host the Patriots on Sunday Night Football at 8:30 p.m. ET on NBC.
