NFL picks and predictions 2013, Jets vs. Titans: Tennessee favored at home against New York

USA TODAY Sports

The NFL experts are mostly picking Jake Locker and the Titans to beat Geno Smith and the Jets.

The Jets will travel to Tennessee in Week 4 to take on the Titans. New York and Tennessee are both coming off close wins and have identical 2-1 records. For both teams, the play of their respective young quarterbacks will likely determine the outcome of the AFC game on Sunday. Titans quarterback Jake Locker will have to improve his accuracy, while Jets' passer Geno Smith will have to avoid costly turnovers.

For CBS Sports, their panel of experts is mixed on the game in Week 4, but favor the Titans 5-3 on the straight-up prediction. However, when considering the spread with the Titans as the 4.5-point favorite, the panel leaned toward the Jets with a vote of 5-3. For ESPN's group of analysts, the decision was pretty simple, as 12 of the 13 panelists chose the Titans to win. Former Jets' wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson was the only expert to pick New York.

For SB Nation's five-man panel, Tennessee is favored 4-1 on Sunday.

The Titans will host the Jets in Week 4 on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET on CBS.
