Rob Gronkowski injury: Patriots TE in disagreement with team over Sunday's status, per report

US PRESSWIRE

The Patriots are reportedly not on the same page with Rob Gronkowski over his Week 4 status.

The New England Patriots and tight end Rob Gronkowski are in a "disagreement" over his status for Sunday, according to a report by the Boston Herald.

According to the report, the Patriots believe Gronkowski is ready to make his season debut against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday night. Gronkowski's camp, on the other hand, thinks he needs a little more time and doesn't want to rush him back. Gronkowski came back early from a broken forearm last season, only to re-break it in the playoffs. He has yet to play this season after multiple surgeries on his arm and back.

Gronkowski is officially listed as questionable for the game and had a limited week of practice. It's an upgrade over his doubtful status the last two weeks. Ultimately, his mysterious status should be solved on Saturday evening. The Patriots typically leave injured players at home on road trips, and are expected to update Gronkowski's status after landing in Atlanta later in the day.
