Chiefs lead Giants 10-7 at halftime

John Rieger-USA TODAY Sports

The Kansas City Chiefs are running a methodical offense to stay in front.

The New York Giants (0-3) and Kansas City Chiefs (3-0) are locked in a battle of the decimated vs. the undefeated, with the Chiefs leading 10-7 at halftime.

Both teams are experiencing similar success despite taking different routes to halftime. The New York Giants are running an inconsistent offense swinging between failure and huge gains, where Eli Manning has completed nine passes for 132 yards, but almost half of the team's passing offense came on one 69-yard touchdown to Victor Cruz.

Alex Smith is running a very different offense, but keeping his team in front. He's running the same, methodical offense the Chiefs have run throughout the year. Smith has 152 yards passing at just 6.6 yards per attempt, with a touchdown of his own -- a 5-yard pass to Sean McGrath.

Neither team is having much success running the ball. David Wilson has 18 yards on six carries, while Jamaal Charles' struggled continue in 2013, running for 14 yards on seven carries.
