Matt Ufford takes a look at the big showdown between the Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints, who both have a chance to jump out to an early NFC South lead with a win over their division foe. Sean Payton makes his return to the sidelines after his season-long suspension for his role in the Bountygate scandal. Drew Brees and the high-octane offense should be fine, but first-year defensive coordinator Rob Ryan will have his hands full trying to turn around a unit that gave up the most yardage in NFL history in 2012.
That defense will have its hands full with the potent Falcons offense, though Matt is worried that Tony Gonzalez is getting a little up there in age. Seriously, the guy is approaching AARP membership status. Steven Jackson is getting up there as well, but the St. Louis Rams transplant should still be able to provide the Falcons with solid production on the ground this season.
