The 5 must-watch games from NFL Week 1

Matt Ufford previews five must-watch games from the first week of the 2013 NFL season. Does your team make the cut? Statistically speaking, probably not.

Matt Ufford gets us ready for the return of professional football this weekend by previewing five can't-miss games, beginning with the Patriots and Bills. Why would you tune in to that one, you ask? For the same reason you slow down on the highway when you see the flaming wreckage of a terrible car accident.

The Falcons and Saints promise to be much more competitive, with Sean Payton's return from exile highlighting a showdown between the two favorites to win the NFC South. Another heavyweight NFC showdown takes place in San Francisco, where the Packers are hoping to contain Colin Kaepernick and the 49ers a bit better than they did during last year's playoff loss.

The Bengals and Bears could be two of the best teams in their respective conferences this year, though Matt's enthusiasm for Cincinnati is tempered by its redheaded quarterback. Then on Monday night, Robert Griffin III finally gets to show off his shiny new knee as the Redskins face off against the Eagles. The Eagles are hoping to test drive some offensive weapons of their own as they get their first shot at running Chip Kelly's fast-paced offense.
