NFL inactive list, Week 1: Seahawks vs. Panthers

Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports

The Seahawks' defense will be missing a pair of starters in their Week 1 road opener against Cam Newton and the Panthers in Carolina.

The Seattle Seahawks will have their hands full trying to contain Cam Newton on Sunday as they open on the road against the Carolina Panthers, and will do so with a depleted defensive attack.

Starting cornerback Brandon Browner and defensive end Chris Clemons are listed as inactive for Week 1 for Seattle. The losses on Sunday aren't good for a Seahawks defense already without defensive end Bruce Irvin, suspended four games for violating NFL policy on performance enhancing drugs.

The Panthers will be without starting guard Amini Silatolu.

Here are the full inactive lists for both teams on Sunday:

Seahawks

CB Brandon Browner

LB Star Lotulelei

T Michael Bowie

DE Chris Clemons

T Alvin Bailey

Panthers

S Mike Mitchell

CB James Dockery
