Browns interviewing Kyle Shanahan for OC

Cleveland is almost finished putting together a coaching staff. An offensive coordinator would be the final piece.

The Cleveland Browns finally settled on Mike Pettine as their new head coach, and are now interviewing Kyle Shanahan for their offensive coordinator opening, according to ESPN's John Keim.

Shanahan spent the last four seasons with the Washington Redskins as the offensive coordinator under his father, Mike Shanahan. Before joining the Redskins, Kyle Shanahan was the offensive coordinator for the Houston Texans from 2008 to 2009. At 34 years old, Shanahan is trying to latch on to his fourth different NFL franchise.

The Browns have talent on offense with a solid line led by perennial Pro Bowl left tackle Joe Thomas, and perhaps the best wide receiver in the NFL in Josh Gordon.

With the team picking fourth in the draft, Cleveland is in a great position to land a franchise quarterback. The Browns also have the 26th overall pick thanks to the Indianapolis Colts' trade for Trent Richardson early in the season.
