Saints vs. Eagles inactives: Pierre Thomas out, Earl Wolff will play

Jonathan Ferrey

Pierre Thomas lands on the inactive list for the Saints after making a surprise appearance on the injury report this week. The Eagles will have the use of Earl Wolff on Saturday.

The inactive lists revealed little surprises for the New Orleans Saints and the Philadelphia Eagles going into their Wild Card round matchup. The Saints knew they would not have the use of Pierre Thomas, after the running back made a surprise appearance on the injury report this week with the somewhat vague designation of a "chest" injury. The Eagles' biggest question mark was safety Earl Wolff, who will play and perhaps start Saturday.

Otherwise, both teams are relatively healthy. In place of Thomas, the Saints should be able to get good production with a committee of Mark Ingram, Darren Sproles and Khiry Robinson.
