Titans coaching search: Jay Gruden will interview in Tennessee, according to report

Andrew Weber-USA TODAY Sports

Gruden has drawn interest from a few teams, but will begin his interview tour with the Titans on Tuesday.

Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Jay Gruden is a hot name right now in the coaching carousel and will interview with the Tennessee Titans on Tuesday, according to a report from Ian Rapoport of NFL.com. He is also reportedly set to interview with the Redskins on Wednesday and the Vikings on Thursday.

Gruden, 46, served as the head coach of the Orlando Predators of the Arena Football League, earning two victories in the ArenaBowl. In 2011, he was hired as the offensive coordinator of the Bengals where he helped rookie quarterback Andy Dalton lead the team to the postseason.

After finishing with the 18th-ranked scoring offense in 2011, the Bengals have steadily improved, finishing with 12th in 2012 and 6th-best in 2013.

Gruden drew head coaching interest in 2013 as well, reportedly drawing interest from the Eagles, Chargers, Jaguars and Cardinals before electing to return to the Bengals for another season. He is the younger brother of former Raiders and Buccaneers head coach Jon Gruden.
