You never want to be late flipping on the biggest game of the American sporting calendar, but tuning in on time for Super Bowl XLVIII seems especially pertinent given the Denver Broncos' historic quick-strike offense. Flipping on the big screen even a few minutes after the 6:30 p.m. ET kickoff may mean you've already missed the first score of the game.
The Broncos were not just the top scoring offense in the league this season, they were the top scoring offense of any season. Led by an unstoppable Peyton Manning, Denver became the first team in league history to score more than 600 points in the regular season. Manning put together perhaps the single greatest season ever seen from an NFL quarterback, breaking both the single-season passing touchdown and yardage records.
Of course, the Seattle Seahawks' stifling defense plans to give you plenty of time to settle into the couch. Led by the unabashed Richard Sherman, Seattle's self-proclaimed "Legion of Boom" secondary is the league's best, allowing just 172 yards through the air per game and holding opposing quarterbacks to a cumulative 63.4 passer rating.
No matter what happens in the early goings, you're not going to want to miss a moment of the league's No. 1 offense taking on the No. 1 defense.
