After two weeks of hype, media frenzy and a seemingly endless marathon of pregame shows, Super Bowl XLVIII, between the Seahawks and the Broncos, is finally ready to kick off on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. ET on FOX (also available on foxsportsgo.com and the FoxSportsGo app).
The Broncos are led by Peyton Manning, who had arguably the greatest ever season by a quarterback and broke several statistical records. He'll be going up against the No. 1 ranked defense in the league, led by Richard Sherman, who became a household name after the NFC Championship Game. It's a rare matchup between the two No. 1 seeds in each conference.
FOX kicks off the Sunday festivities with its special pregame show at 2 p.m. ET, featuring performances by Phillip Phillips and the Band Perry. Bill O'Reilly will also sit down with President Obama during the pregame. And just before the game, Renee Fleming will perform the national anthem. The halftime show will feature Bruno Mars and The Red Hot Chili Peppers.
The pregame show will begin in Times Square in Manhattan before finishing up at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, making it the first time the show has stretched through two states. The program will feature the usual FOX suspects, including newly minted Hall of Famer Michael Strahan.
All of the FOX analysts will pick the game, taking the lead of our guys who already laid down their predictions. Jason Chilton, Ryan Van Bibber, Joel Thorman and Matt Ullford took the Seahawks, while Stephen White and David Fucillo rolled with the Broncos.
