## Super Bowl Squares 2014: Template, rules and more

Get your bettin' on with our template and guide to Super Bowl Squares.

It's Super Bowl Sunday, which means it's time for you and your friends to get together for some friendly (or not) betting action with the Super Bowl Squares.

It's an often fun and more often frustrating game of blind guessing and random luck, wherein you attempt to guess the scores (kind of) of every quarter of the Super Bowl.

Here's how you do it:

1. First, get a group of friends together who are interested in playing Super Bowl Squares. If you do not have friends, find some! If you do not have friends who are interested in playing Super Bowl Squares, and yet you are attempting to organize a Super Bowl Squares pool, it may be time to find new friends, as common interests create common bonds.

2. Second, print out a template for your Super Bowl Squares. Here, we've provided one for you! If you don't have a printer, don't worry. Get a piece of poster board, butch paper, XXL white t-shirt, the blank white wall at your friend's house or whatever you can, and draw a big square divided into 11 rows and 11 columns.

3. Decide whether or not you're playing for money. If you are not playing for money, decide whether or not playing Super Bowl Squares is really how you want to spend your afternoon. If you are playing for money, decide how much! That means both the buy-in fees and the prizes, which are usually larger for the halftime score and final score.

4. Cut up slips of paper with the numbers 0-9 written on them, and put them in a hat or another hidden place of your choosing. Take them out one-by-one, writing the numbers in the grey spaces in the above template.

5. Next, decide whether you want the contestants to manually pick the scores or keep it completely #random with another blind paper pick.

6. At the end of each quarter, the person who holds the last digit of the scores of each team wins that quarter. For example, if the score at the end of the first is 17-13 Denver, the person who has the Denver 7 and Seattle 3 square wins that round.

7. Give out the prizes as necessary, and enjoy yourselves!
