For the Broncos, this was about as bad a start imaginable.

The Denver Broncos snapped the ball out of the back of the end zone to start Super Bowl 48, and the Seahawks took a 2-0 lead.

Peyton Manning lined up in the shotgun after a mediocre kick return. The first snap went over his head and into the end zone. It appeared Manning was coming up to the line of scrimmage to either change the play or take the snap under center. Broncos running back Knowshon Moreno recovered the ball in the end zone before multiple Seahawks touched him down for a safety.

After the safety punt, the Seahawks took over at the 36-yard line. The Broncos offense never even had a chance to get going, and the Seahawks defense got an easy early score.
