The Seattle Seahawks now have the third-biggest blowout win in Super Bowl history with their 43-8 victory over the Denver Broncos on Sunday.

Seattle simply controlled the game from beginning to end. The Broncos managed to find their offense at one point, but by and large, the Seahawks dominated. They got the game started with a safety, managed a score on the next possession and, after a pair of interceptions and a kick return touchdown, finally punted for the first time -- in the third quarter.

The biggest point differential for a Super Bowl ever also included the Broncos -- the San Francisco 49ers took them down by a score of 55-10 in Super Bowl XXIV. Next came the Chicago Bears downing the New England Patriots, 46-10, in Super Bowl XX.

Seattle, as mentioned, goes into a third-place tie with Super Bowl XXVII, in which the Dallas Cowboys dominated the Buffalo Bills by a score of 52-17. The Washington Redskins had a 42-10 victory over the Broncos in Super Bowl XXII.

That means the Broncos were on the losing side of three of the top five biggest Super Bowl blowouts. The previous three Super Bowls were decided by 13 points combined, to provide a little context here. The Seahawks put themselves into the history books in more than one way on Sunday

Here's how the list of 10 biggest Super Bowl blowouts looked before this game:
