One day after claiming that he is a better player than South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney, Auburn defensive lineman Dee Ford has declared that he won't work out on Monday at the NFL Combine, according to Scott Hanson of NFL Network.
Ford is not participating because of an unknown medical reason, which is quite the downer after some of the comments he made in Indianapolis earlier on.
Dee Ford says Clowney "plays like he's a blind dog in a meat house." Yes, Monday's drills just got that much more interesting.

Looks like Dee Ford won't be able to back up his claim that he's better than Clowney today. Combine medical crew scratching him.

Dee Ford not working out the combine. That's a bummer. He would have scorched it in drills.

Ford had been very confident leading up to Monday, going on about how much size is overrated. Ford is smaller for a defensive end, coming in at 6'2'' and 252 pounds while Clowney is 6'5'' and 266 pounds.
Currently projected by many to be a late first or early second round pick, Ford was hoping to solidly move into the first round of many mock drafts with a solid showing at the combine. Now, he will have to wait until Auburn's pro day.
