SB Nation selects... David Klingler's agent

SB Nation selects combs the history of the NFL draft to bring you some of the most memorable moments in draft history.

The open mic immediacy of the NFL Draft really shined in 1992 when it captured the conversation between David Klingler and his agent after the quarterback was selected with the sixth pick. Well, it wasn't quite so much a "conversation" and more "Klingler's agent awestruck while the player can't believe his life."

In case you can't hear the agent over Chris Berman's flapping (gasp) here's a transcript.

"How can that be? How can that be? They never called, they never said anything! Unbelievable! Oh my goodness. Unbelievable. Cincinnati... you're a Bengal. Unreal. Unbelievable. Cincin...hahaha. Mike Brown, oh my God."

So yeah, YOU'RE PRETTY AMPED TO BE A BENGAL, RIGHT DAVID?

This is not the face of a happy man. It's the face of a man about to have an unsuccessful five year career in Cincinnati AND Oakland. That's some sort of football purgatory.
