Yes, picking Sanchez pales in comparison to these real tragedies but there's no question that selecting the butt-fumbling SoCal QB helped create apathy in the world's financial center. This would spread, unstoppable like a freight train and eventually cause the global economic collapse.*
There was so much hope, so much faith, the unalienable belief that Sanchez would save the Jets. Awww, we were all so naive back then. Heck, even Mike Mayock is drinking the Kool Aid.
