On Monday, Tony Dungy said that Michael Sam would be a "distraction" and that he would not have drafted him because, "I wouldn't want to deal with all of it." And after his second media response (the first on Tuesday) to the issue — this time on The Dan Patrick Show — Tony Dungy is still the only person making Michael Sam a distraction, using some weird justification for his comments.
Tony Dungy: "If we substitute Jonathan Martin for Michael Sam, no one is going to replay those quotes three months later."

"The media, not me — the person who keeps bringing this up — made this a story."
Tony Dungy on Michael Sam: "I do believe he should be there (with the Rams) and I’m glad he is."

Dungy says he was surprised to read headline "Dungy wouldn't draft Sam." He said he's on record saying he wouldn't have problem coaching Sam

Except you explicitly stated, "I wouldn't have taken him." Thinking Michael Sam should be able to play and saying you wouldn't draft him are different.
Tony Dungy: "Gay marriage and who should be on a football team have nothing to do with each other."

More Dungy on Sam: "I have no bitterness and animosity [toward him]. Even though I don’t agree with his lifestyle, I love him."

I guess that makes it all OK.
Stop talking, Tony Dungy. For your sake and for all of ours'.
