With the No. 146 overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, the Minnesota Vikings selected wide receiver Stefon Diggs of Maryland. Diggs was a second-team All-Big Ten player in 2014, and was a second-team All-ACC player in 2012 for his work as a returner.
Diggs is a talented receiver who has missed significant playing time due to injury over the course of his career. He played in 11 games in 2012 and caught 54 passes for 848 yards and six touchdowns. He also managed 25 kick returns for 713 yards and two touchdowns that year. But in his sophomore year he only played in seven games and in 2014 he managed just 10 games.
Still, Diggs finished his college career with 150 receptions for 2,227 yards and 14 touchdowns. He also had 57 kick returns for 1,472 yards and two touchdowns.
Diggs had a solid performance at the NFL Scouting Combine in February. He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.46 seconds, the three-cone drill in 7.03 seconds and the 20-yard shuttle in 4.32 seconds. He posted a vertical leap of 35 inches and a broad jump of 115 inches.
