The Cleveland Browns snapped a 17-game losing streak and beat the San Diego Chargers, but the San Francisco 49ers rallied to beat the Los Angeles Rams, meaning the No. 1 pick still belongs to Cleveland.
Thanks to the strength of schedule tiebreaker, San Francisco would have been slated to pick first if it wasn’t able to come back from a 21-7 deficit against the Rams. But the come-from-behind victory improved the team’s record to 2-13, one win better than the 1-14 Browns.
With only one week to play, the 49ers have clinched the tiebreaker over the Browns, so Cleveland would fall to the second pick if the team is able to earn back-to-back wins by beating the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 17 and the 49ers lose to the Seattle Seahawks.
The only real shakeup in the top five came because the Jacksonville Jaguars found a win against the Tennessee Titans and fell behind the Chicago Bears for the third pick.
