Recap: Green Bay vs. Buffalo

Green Bay, WI (Sports Network) - Aaron Rodgers turned in a crisp early performance, completing 8-of-9 passes for a pair of touchdowns as Green Bay rode a strong first half to defeat Buffalo, 31-21, in preseason action from Lambeau Field.

Tyrell Sutton rushed for 49 yards and a score on 11 carries for the Packers, who have emerged victorious in both exhibition games thus far. Ryan Grant picked up 43 yards on the ground and also scored once.

Donald Driver and Greg Jennings each registered a TD catch for Green Bay, which saw backup Brian Brohm go 12-for-19 for 83 yards.

Ryan Fitzpatrick finished with 112 yards passing, one TD and one interception for the Bills, who fell to 1-1. Xavier Omon and Bruce Hall each posted a rushing score, while Jonathan Stupar hauled in five balls for 63 yards and a touchdown.

Rodgers hit Jennings in the first quarter then Driver in the second. Grant added a TD run and Mason Crosby nailed a 36-yarder and the Pack took a 24-0 edge to halftime.

Fitzpatrick hit Stupar in the third and Omon hit the end zone from the one to bring the Bills within 24-14 early in the fourth. Sutton then scored from three yards out to re-establish a 17-point Green Bay edge before Hall's one- yard plunge capped the scoring.

Green Bay plays its final preseason contest next Friday at Arizona, while Buffalo heads to Pittsburgh next Saturday...Gibran Hamdan threw for 137 yards on 7-of-11 passing for Buffalo.
