The third preseason game is supposed to be the "dress rehearsal" for the regular season. Unfortunately, the Cleveland Browns weren't able to get an accurate evaluation of their team for several reasons. For one, blunders on special teams helped stall drives despite some nice defensive efforts.

Prior to last night's game we posted six things to watch for. Some of the issues that came up last night weren't among those things to watch for... but I thought it would be worth going back to see how stuff worked out.

I wish I could sugar coat the way the Cleveland Browns played against the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday in their 24-14 loss, but you really can't. You can blame the players, the weather, the coaches, the officials, etc, but the fact is that neither team looked very sharp in what is considered the best dress rehearsal for the regular season.

I think it is a safe assumption that for Browns fans, there is one major think we'll be looking for in this game: how running back Montario Hardesty looks in his first game back in nearly a year.

The third preseason is as real as a practice game will get. We'll be seeing the starters play into the third quarters, there's been some gameplanning... So we should see some improvement overall, but here are some things to focus on specifically.
