Former NFL linebacker Junior Seau had CTE, a disease resulting from repeated hits to the head. Seau, who played for the San Diego Chargers, Miami Dolphins, and New England Patriots during his career, died of a self-inflicted gun shot wound in May.
A study confirmed that the former NFL linebacker suffered from a degenerative brain disease prior to his death in May 2012.
