Assets
  • A classic one-gap tackle who has the explosive burst and first step that scouts covet. Has great upper body strength and uses his arms well to keep blockers at bay. Has some pass rush moves, good change-of-direction skills, and a closing burst to the ballcarrier. Reads plays well and generally gets good position against the run or the pass. Punishing tackler who will strip.
Flaws
  • Has had run-ins with the law in the past, including felony grand theft charges. Not a two-gap DT with the size and power to stand up to a double team. Takes downs off and wears down. Often lets himself play too high and has other lapses in technique. Has just four sacks in the last three years.
Career Potential
  • Very good prospect.
