Ladies and gentleman...we have a punter.

I think that makes Morstead the first official winner of a position battle this year. Paris Warren, we hardly knew thee.

Couple of big Bucs stories yesterday, at least for the off-season. Brian Griese getting canned and Roy Miller signing on are the two latest transactions that will shape the Tampa Bay Buccaneer's roster going into training camp. Let's take a spin around the interwebz and see what else is making Buccaneer's news.

Can Paris Warren make it back? - Granted, it won't be with the Bucs, but I find myself rooting for him. He had essentially made the team in 2007 until a badly dislocated ankle at the end of the last pre-season game cost him the entire year. Hard not to root for him.

NFL Power Rankings - No, not in terms of talent, wins, or titles, but in "continuity and stability." To find the Bucs on this list, you're gonna need to scroll all the way down to number 29. Yep, just a few from being dead last. It's times like this we need to thank the Detroit Lions for being in existence.

Ward could breakout - A look at one player from each team that could or should have a break out year. Just as a side note, they list Darren Sproles as San Diego's breakout player. In other news, the sun is hot and water is wet.

A look into the 2010 draft - It's never too early to look a full year ahead. From our own SBNation, it looks like the Bucs are projected to be picking second in 2010, hardly a good sign. I have some other picks based on this years team that would be a better pick than who they selected for us, but it's hard to argue when 2009 hasn't kicked off yet.

Just like a cup of coffee and a shower, the morning links have helped get the morning started. Keep checking back to Buc 'Em for all the latest offseason news.

The Bucs were ultra busy this weekend so why would this week be any different?

The Bucs have resigned WR Paris Warren to a one year deal. The Bucs have also expressed interest in resigning WR's Antonio Bryant and Michael Clayton.

Antonio Bryant is a no brainer. Anything more than three years and I would be a bit leery. Michael Clayton though? I've dogged this guy for the past several years (so has every other Bucs fan). He carries himself like a top flight Wide Receiver, but he plays more like a undersized tight end who though he can block well, he rarely catches the ball consistently. Part of me wonders what he would be like in a system that lifts you up as a player, but then i see all of those drops and think, what would it matter?

Michael Clayton stats from '08

Guess what G.M. Mark Dominik was doing the day before all hell broke lose? He was actually in the hospital recovering from having his appendix removed. I assume hearing word that he was going to become the team's next G.M. didnt hurt the healing process. Did I mention former Bucs QB Chris Simms is a free agent? Spleen-Appendix, the removal is what matters.

Continuing the Dominik discussion, he was recently asked several questions while arriving in Mobile Alabama for this weekend's Senior Bowl. One of which was: Is hiring an offensive and defensive coordinator a priority? I think just about all of us can answer that one for Mark... Click here to catch the other questions/answers. Nothing was really revealed other than he and Coach Morris are going to take their time and are not seeking a specific coach for a specific system, they want everyone to express their own philosophies on how to do things.

For those that were curious, the Glazers are not interested in selling the Buccaneers.
