With the Arizona Cardinals having recently released Hoyer, I asked the question, "should the Browns take a flier on Hoyer?" As it turns out, that's exactly what they did -- the local quarterback agreed to terms with the Cleveland Browns.
The price tag was just too high for someone that likely was not likely going to even be active on game days.
Brian Hoyer won't get a chance to stick with the Arizona Cardinals after starting Week 17 for them last season, as the former Tom Brady backup was cut Monday. The Cardinals will likely start Carson Palmer at quarterback.
Could the Cleveland Browns be interested in a quarterback who is about to hit the free agent market? Now that Hoyer is a free agent, we'll see if any rumors start up about him being signed and taking the place of someone like Thaddeus Lewis.
