Panthers say Delhomme will start vs. Cardinals despite struggles

Charlotte, NC (Sports Network) - Carolina Panthers quarterback Jake Delhomme will start Sunday against Arizona, head coach John Fox said Wednesday.
Fox said Delhomme, despite having a league-high 13 interceptions with only four touchdowns for the 2-4 Panthers, gives the team the best chance to win.
"There was always consideration (to start backup Matt Moore)," Fox said. "We are in a production-based business, and results are key. But when you sort out the problems that we've had, they've all not been bad....We've got a new challenge this week, and we're going to put the best 11 (players) out there at once that we think can help us win."
The Panthers were defeated by the Cardinals in last season's playoffs, when Delhomme threw five interceptions. His 13 interceptions this season have already surpassed last year's total of 12.
Delhomme, who has started each of the team's six games, has completed 106- of-177 passes this season for 1,172 yards.
