Cincinnati, OH (Sports Network) - Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Antwan Odom, who was tied for the NFL lead with eight sacks this season, tore his right Achilles and will likely miss the remainder of the season.
Odom suffered the injury in the first quarter of Sunday's 28-17 loss to the Texans. Odom was chasing Houston quarterback Matt Schaub during a 12-yard scoring pass to tight end Owen Daniels with under a minute left in the quarter when he was hurt. Odom also blocked Kris Brown's 28-yard field goal attempt on Houston's first drive of the game.
The Bengals also lost starting defensive tackle Domata Peko to a left knee injury in the first quarter. The team is awaiting results of an MRI exam.
