Lions sign veteran OT Salaam

Allen Park, MI (Sports Network) - The Detroit Lions signed free agent tackle Ephraim Salaam on Thursday. Terms of the deal were not released.
Salaam, a veteran of 11 NFL seasons, was released by the Texans in February and appeared in 44 games with 30 starts over three seasons with Houston. However, he also lost his starting gig to rookie Duane Brown in 2008.
The 32-year-old Salaam has appeared in 154 career games, 129 of those starts, for Houston, Jacksonville, Denver and Atlanta.
