Green Bay, WI (Sports Network) - Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was limited in practice Wednesday because of a foot sprain.
Despite the injury, Rodgers still completed 15-of-20 passes for 246 yards and three touchdowns in Sunday's 31-3 win over Cleveland. Head coach Mike McCarthy said the team would be careful with its quarterback in practice this week.
"He's having some tenderness with (his foot)," McCarthy said about Rodgers. "There's just some particular movements where it bothers him."
Rodgers is off to a stellar start to the 2009 season, as the Packers are 4-2 through six games. The fifth-year player out of California has thrown for 1,702 yards and 11 touchdowns to only two interceptions.
Also limited in practice for the Packers on Wednesday were offensive tackle Chad Clifton (ankle), who has missed the last three games, linebacker Clay Matthews (jaw) and cornerback Charles Woodson (hip).
