Texans' Johnson has lung contusion

Sports Network | October 26, 2009

Houston, TX (Sports Network) - Houston Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson suffered a lung contusion during Sunday's 24-21 win over the San Francisco 49ers.

Texans coach Gary Kubiak said Johnson is day-to-day and that the wide receiver could play this coming weekend at Buffalo.

"It happened early in the game," said Kubiak. "It happened on his first catch. He got hit in the lower back pretty good and played the whole game, was having a hard time catching his breath and then after he made that big play was struggling with it. So he basically played banged up throughout the day so that's pretty impressive by him."

Kubiak added that Johnson was going to have some blood tests this week, but believed he would be fine.

For the season, Johnson has 38 receptions for 634 yards and four touchdowns.
