Indianapolis, IN (Sports Network) - Indianapolis Colts safety Bob Sanders missed practice on Thursday a day after taking in his first full practice of the season.
Sanders was not available on Thursday as he was resting his knee. However, Wednesday's session may signal that Sanders is ready for Sunday's contest in St. Louis. He has missed the Colts' first five games in 2009.
Among the other players who did not participate on Thursday are defensive back Marlin Jackson (knee), and running back Chad Simpson (illness). Jackson has not taken reps the last two days and is expected to sit Sunday.
Defensive back Kelvin Hayden, who missed Indy's last three games with a hamstring injury, has practiced both days so far this week and is expected to return Sunday.
