Florham Park, NJ (Sports Network) - New York Jets wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery is expected to return to the field on Sunday versus Miami despite being listed as questionable on the injury report.
Cotchery, who injured his hamstring in practice three weeks ago, has missed the last two games. He was limited in practice this whole week. The North Carolina State product has caught 24 passes for 360 yards and a score in five games for the Jets this year.
"I can't wait to see that happen. He was having a great year for us before the injury. He was having a terrific year for us, so hopefully we can get him back on track. I know [Mark] Sanchez and he really seemed to be on fire there together, so hopefully they don't miss a beat when he comes back," New York head coach Rex Ryan said on the team's site about possibly getting Cotchery back.
Fellow wide receivers David Clowney (ankle) and Brad Smith (quadricep) and defensive end Shaun Ellis (knee, ankle) and linebacker Bart Scott (knee) are also listed as questionable.
Cornerback Lito Sheppard (quadricep) is doubtful against the Dolphins. He was limited in practice on Thursday and Friday after missing Wednesday's practice.
"I expect everybody to play with the exception of probably Lito. We'll see what happens with that group tomorrow and Sunday. I feel good about our guys right now," Ryan said.
