Jets release DB Carroll

Florham Park, NJ (Sports Network) - The New York Jets have waived defensive back Ahmad Carroll.
Carroll was in his second season with the Jets. He had registered 30 special teams tackles, including four this year, in 22 games for New York.
In 2008, Carroll tied for the club lead in special teams tackles with 26. He has also spent time with Green Bay and Jacksonville during his NFL career, posting three sacks and three interceptions in 57 NFL games.
